Adult Field Day

Adult Field Day
Play like kids-for the kids!
May 2, 2026

at Farm Brewery in Haymarket, VA

Adult Field Day 2026 was an epic, laughter-filled, sun-soaked, community-powered day we won’t soon forget.

Our 7th Annual Adult Field Day, held in partnership with The Farm Brewery at Broad Run, may have been our smoothest and most exciting year yet. Every year we try to dream a little bigger, create a little more fun, and find new ways to bring our community together FOR THE KIDS — and this year truly felt special from start to finish.

This year was the year of hula hoops- so many hula hoops, sunburnt lips and grateful hearts. From the opening ceremony to the final whistle, the heart behind Field Day was clear: this day exists to remind our Raindancers and their families that they are  never walking this road alone.

Opening Ceremony: Some very special kiddos led the players in a pledge to be kind to one another & kind to our volunteers, and to remember that this day is FOR THE KIDS. Raindancer Max performed the National Anthem alongside Raindancer Gabriel’s dad, Jerry- creating a moment that brought the entire field together. Raindancer Cruz and his big sister Thea served as our honorary guests and officially kicked off the games by ringing the bell — with Thea confidently declaring, “LET THE GAMES BEGIN!”

This year also brought exciting new additions to the field, including live virtual scorekeeping, Guest DJ Shon  who helped get the party started, and a LED screen from Bruno’s Bounce House that helped elevate the entire Field Day experience.

Field Day takes an unbelievable amount of work behind the scenes. Months of planning, hundreds of moving pieces, and countless volunteers balancing work schedules, family life, meetings, sponsorships, game prep, team coordination, and setup — all leading up to one very big day. Then on Field Day itself, more than 150 volunteers show up to help make it all happen.

That is what community looks like.

This year brought together 60 teams, over 1,000 people on the field, generous sponsors with hearts of gold, incredible volunteers, beautiful weather, and a community that continues to show up in extraordinary ways FOR THE KIDS.

Together, we raised critical funds and awareness to help SJGF continue saying YES as often as possible to families walking through the unimaginable. More importantly, we reminded our Raindancers and their families that they have a village standing beside them every step of the way.

To every player, volunteer, sponsor, donor, business, and supporter who helped make this day possible — thank you. We are beyond grateful for the community that continues to stand behind SJGF year after year.

Thank you for helping SJGF help our Raindancers Dance in the Rain.
